Lake Tahoe Traveler!

We planning a trip up to Lake Tahoe during the week of Apirl 14th and wondering if the conditions are typically favorable for skiing during that time of the year.

Yes, there’s skiing around April 14th in Lake Tahoe during almost any yr. This yr. they’ve had record snowfall so you should be in good shape. You should, however, check the websites for Lake Tahoe skiing & resorts like Heavenly, Kirkwood & Squa Valley since they have the highest elevation & the largest vertical drops. The websites will give you how snow they have (snow base in inches and/or feet). They’ll also show you if they’re open & how much of the moutain is open, i.e., how many runs & lifts are open. Since it’s colder at a higher elevation & it generally snows more in the upper parts of ski areas, you should be in good shape. Good Luck.

and will all the resorts still be open? how about that squaw valley night run for $20 i did two years ago, that was awesome..

The Squaw night run is now $22, but still a good deal for 5hrs (4pm-9pm). The resorts should still be open late March, it’s only a month away and the Tahoe area just got a couple of huge storms last week and another storm is on it’s way over the weekend. The weather is still cold and I don’t think it’ll be so warm that the resorts will have to close in a month. But, the slopes might be a bit slushy and icy if it gets too warm.

I was just at Kirkwood (south side of Tahoe) on Tuesday and it was snowing pretty hard. I was up to my chest in powder. I’d imagine the resorts will still be open in 3 weeks…

Okay so im going to hevenly on saturday with my boyfriend im not snow bording im just watching but how much does it cost for a day pass at hevenly? and would i have to pay if im just watching

Why aren’t you skiing or boarding? It is a heap of fun.

look at condos in the "Atrium". they seem to be reasonably priced.

Plot

The plot centers on a ski resort run by Will Carver (Anson Mount). When his grandfather dies, Carver discovers that the resort has been left to his younger brother David (Oliver Hudson), an irresponsible layabout who returns to pick up the reins. There is familial conflict over the resort and over Maria (Alana de la Garza), a woman who previously dated David, but then dates Will. Additional conflict comes from the efforts of land developer Colin Dowling (Mitch Pileggi) and his attractive daughter, Max (Elizabeth Bogush), who falls for David.

I have stayed at The Ambassador Motor Lodge many times. It is older but is very clean and nice people manage it. It is across the street from Harrahs. I think it is around $75 a night.

I have four Shih Tzu’s, and am looking to rent a lake front home somewhere on Lake Michigan, preferably near St. Ignace (Rt. 2) if possible?
