Andrea McArdle as Judy Garland in the 1978 made for TV film “Rainbow”. Lots of us remember this film as kids-it was one of those movies shown in reruns on cable for a long time and then seemed to disappear. Finally got mine converted to DVD (not sure why…) and figured I’d upload part of it.
The film was directed by Jackie Cooper, who had lots of very not-so-nice things (to put it mildly) to say about working with McArdle in his biography “Please Don’t Shoot My Dog.” In this scene, Judy is discovered by Al Rosen at Cal Neva Lodge. Thought it might be of interest to Judy fans, as a lot of this early bio stuff wasn’t in Me And My Shadows. Andrea totally lacks everything that “was” Judy in this film, but it tells a nice story anyway.
