i am 16 and going on a trip with friends to lake tahoe for about four days and i was just wondering how much money i would need….this doesnt include like hotel and stuff.

Plan on spending $10/day for lunch, $20 for dinner. If you’re going to rent a boat, they are like $150/hour with a 4 hour minimum and takes 8 people. Parasailing/jet skiiing will probably run about $50 per trip if you want to try that. Shopping – whatever you want to budget – but $25 a day (1 t-shirt is $25). There’s some fun game rooms in the casinos – $5-$10 for video games….

First time going to South Lake Tahoe & don’t know if it is like Vegas meaning if there is a strip or what. I want to stay in a hotel, motel or anywhere as long as I am in the middle of everything. PLEASE HELP WITH WEBSITE OR ANY INFO

I am from L.A. and we want to take a couple trip to the snow. Is there snow in lake tahoe during december or does it really depend on the rain? Also what is there to do besides ski and any good hotel suggestions. We are not outdoors type people so we need a nice hotel not a cabin! Thanks

of course you should go to tahoe! it’s so beautiful there! i lived there for 12 years while my daughters were growing up. there will almost assuredly be snow in december- although you can never be sure! there are major hotel/ casinos there- harrahs, caesars, harveys, etc. they are all great to stay in. but if you’re going during the holidays, make reservations now! i think the tahoe queen and the m.s. dixie run all year – they are paddle wheel boats that tour the lake- and have nice dinner cruises. there are always good live shows happening- big names in the big theaters of the casinos and good- and often free- acts in the lounges. you’ll have a great time… and by the way, most of the cabins there are pretty ritzy- you might want to check them out for more privacy!
