We are going to Okemo in late March. Looking for a nice, easy location, ski in / ski out and comfortable lodging. It seems Jackson Gore Inn is the newest place at Okemo and maybe the nicest place to stay? They also have Solitude Village condos. Is Jackson Gore a nice place, comparable to Stowe Mountain Lodge?
I’ll tell ya what.. There’s an expression at Okemo.. If you gotta stay at JG Inn, well you probably know the rest. I love Stratton. Or Okemo, whatever it is you’re talking about. The truth is that VT is heaven on earth. But there are a lot of dog-doo accommodations and hotels near some pretty sweet ski joints. So buyer beware.

Depends upon your interests. You probably are already aware of the casino there in Cherokee I’m guessing.
The Blue Ridge Parkway begins there and is a great ride with lots to see and do.
There is a nice lake close by, called Lake Lure.
How about a clue as to your interests? I live a few hours away and visit that area quite a bit, so I might be able to help you.
