Join us Thursdays, December 4 - 18 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Village at NorthstarTM for this Holiday tradition! There will be a tree lighting ceremony, ice skating (bring a can of food for a local Food Bank and skate rentals are free!), carolers, cookie and ornament decorating, holiday shopping deals, and best of all, Santa will be there to listen to Christmas wishes and take pictures!

Northstar-at-Tahoe Northstar® Resort’s downhill terrain offers the perfect venue for this tooth rattling, downhill challenge! Registration is $30 ($40 for open class) and will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. in the Village at Northstar™ Season Pass & Tickets Office the morning of the event. Racer lift tickets are $30 (must have proof of registration). Lifts open to competitors at 10:00 a.m and the first race begins at 12:00 p.m. Format will be a 1 run race. USA Cycling license is not required. Helmets are required. Over 20 divisions for men, women and juniors, beginner through open class. Top three in each division receive awards. Cash prize to men’s and women’s open classes and Northstar Resort mountain bike ticekts will be raffled off at each event! Raffle and awards are scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on the Village Stage.

Get ready for back-to-school (back to Ski school that is!) during the Village at Northstar’s™ Labor Day Street Fair & Sidewalk Sale, Friday August 29 through Monday September 1. Village shops will have sales of up to 70% on summer and winter apparel. There will be sales up to 60% off winter ski and snowboard equipment as well as incredible deals on demo equipment. There will also be plenty of family fun in the Village with live music, roller skating, face painting, balloon artists, clowns and more. Top it all off with outdoor movies at sundown, a mini-farmer’s market, complimentary wine tasting and star gazing tours and it’s the perfect final summer weekend!
Guests who purchase their 2008-2009 Adult or Young Adult Double Whammy season pass at the Northstar Season Pass office during the Street Fair & Sidewalk Sale will receive a $25 gift card to be used at select shops in the Village at Northstar.

Northstar Resort is offering free guided hikes Thursdays - Mondays throughout the summer with a mountain expert. Learn about Northstar Resort's flora and fauna, 16 scenic hiking trails, and 100+ miles of mountain biking trails.

Cross-Country Bike Races (XC)
Try your luck in this fun, recreational mountain bike race for all ages and abilities. Courses are suitable for beginners through experts. Awards are given out at the conclusion of the series based on cumulative points. A generous raffle is held each week. Helmets are required. The race fee $15 per racer or $70 for the seven race series. Registration is 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. with the race time at 6:00 p.m. sharp.
